Man charged in puppy's death

CANTON - A Cherokee County man has been arrested on several charges in connection with the stomping death of a puppy. <br> <br> Deputies answering a call Friday to George Swanson&#39;s home in Canton found that the puppy apparently had been stomped to death. <br> <br> A spokeswoman for the sheriff&#39;s department says 59-year-old Swanson was arrested Tuesday and charged with cruelty to animals, simple assault and cruelty to children in the second degree. <br> <br> He was taken to the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center, with bond set at $7,025.
