LAFAYETTE - The operator of the Tri-State Crematory remains in jail in Walker County.
Superior Court Judge James Bodiford has denied Ray Brent Marsh's request for reconsideration of a $39,000 cash bond.

Bodiford said Wednesday that the cash requirement for Marsh's $159,000 bond does not deserve an immediate review.
Marsh's attorney -- Ken Poston -- said his client does not have access to the cash.
The 29-year-old Marsh has been in jail since February 17 charged with 398 felony counts, including theft by deception and abuse of a body. He is accused of accepting money and never performing the cremations.
Despite safety concerns from his lawyer and a judge, local officials said Marsh would not receive any special treatment -- including protection -- if released.
