Atlanta officer fatally shoots suspected prostitute

ATLANTA - An undercover Atlanta police officer shot and killed a suspected prostitute early Monday after she sprayed him with pepper gas and stabbed him in the face and arms when he tried to arrest her. <br> <br> Police said the officer shot the woman four times. <br> <br> Sergeant S.R. Traylor said,- ``He fired in defense of himself.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> The officer was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was listed in stable condition. <br> <br> The names of the woman and the officer were not immediately released. <br> <br> The incident was the fourth fatal shooting involving an Atlanta police officer in the past three months.
