Police: Convenience store shooting was 'premeditated'

AUGUSTA - Police said a shooting at a convenience story early Sunday was &#34;premeditated,&#34; and the victim&#39;s father said it may have been retaliation for his son&#39;s testimony in a murder trial two years ago.<br> <br> Marcus Dewayne Taylor, 28, was paroled from prison in May after serving two years for cocaine possession. His father, Willie Taylor, said his son testified in a 2000 murder trial involving a drive-by shooting that claimed the life of an 83-year-old woman.<br> <br> &#34;A lot of people are saying that it&#39;s related to that,&#34; Willie Taylor said.<br> <br> No arrests have been made in Sunday&#39;s shooting.<br> <br> &#34;There&#39;s absolutely no doubt that he was targeted,&#34; said Sgt. Scott Peebles of the Richmond County Sheriff&#39;s Office. &#34;It was premeditated. He was shot at least four times.&#34;<br> <br>
