JONESBORO - Clayton County police have arrested three teenagers in a car stolen from a DeKalb County convenience store clerk who was fatally shot.
A police spokesman, Major Doug Jewett, said the 16-year-olds were picked up shortly after noon Tuesday after drawing attention of a gas station employee when they tried to use a credit card fraudulently.
The car belonged to Zul Nurau Charania, who was gunned down at a Marathon Station in Stone Mountain yesterday morning. Charania was alone, and robbery was believed to be the motive.
Jewett said the teenagers, whose names he could not release as of Tuesday, told police they had bought the car. He said they will be charged in Clayton County with possessing a stolen car and credit card fraud.
