CENTRALHATCHEE - Four Alabama men were killed in a one-car accident early Tuesday on U.S. 27 near the west Georgia town of Centralhatchee, about 50 miles southwest of Atlanta. <br>

Another man was critically injured in the crash. <br>

A spokesman for the Heard County Emergency Management Agency says 22-year-old Eric Earies of Selma, Alabama, was driving the car more the 100 mph when it hit a tree just off the highway. Earies was pronounced dead at the scene, as were 30-year-old Bobby Kennedy of Selma; and 40-year-old Jerome Trotterand 23-year-old Robert Allen, both of Mobile, Alabama. <br>

Eric Rogers was in critical condition at Atlanta Medical Center. <br>

All the men were employees at United Scaffolding and were working at Georgia Power's Plant Wansley. Allen had been staying in Heard County, while the other men were staying in LaGrange.
