GREENVILLE, S.C. - A second suspect has been arrested in the slaying of two Fountain Inn-area residents last week.
Mario Ramos Hinojos, Jr., 18, of Greenville, has been charged with two counts of murder. He is also charged in Cobb County, Ga., with being a fugitive from justice.
Hinojos and Robert Joel Smith are accused of killing of Kenyatta Q. Campbell, 22, and Gloria S. Heslep, 20.
Hinojos and Smith are also charged with assault and battery with intent to kill in the shooting of Jason Carver, 19, who was in the residence when Campbell and Heslep were killed.
Hinojos was captured in Cobb County on Sunday, said Greenville sheriff's Sgt. James McCann. Smith was arrested earlier in Cobb County.
FBI agents watched Hinojos leave the house and followed him until they reached a convenience store, where they arrested him, McCann said.
Mario Ramos Hinojos, Sr., the suspect's father, was charged with being an accessory after a murder. He was charged with helping his son avoid arrest.
Last week, Cobb County Police arrested Crystal Marie Rodriguez, Hinojos' cousin, on the charge of hindering the apprehension of a criminal. She is accused of helping Hinojos hide.
