ATLANTA - State Representative JoAnn McClinton of Atlanta says she's been waiting 15 years for an arrest in the death of her daughter, slain socialite Lita Sullivan.
McClinton appeared at a news conference today with her husband and her son to discuss the arrest of her former son-in-law, 61-year-old James Vincent Sullivan. Authorities arrested him earlier this week at a beach resort in Thailand.
She had tears in her eyes as she thanked the media and law enforcement officials for keeping the case open.

She said, ``This is just the beginning. I hope there will be a happier day for us later on.''
Lita Sullivan was shot at the door of her townhouse by a gunman posing as a flower delivery man in 1987.
U.S. authorities claim Sullivan -- a millionaire investor from Palm Beach County, Florida -- paid someone $25,000 to kill his wife to avoid losing property in a costly divorce.
Sullivan is being held in custody while the Foreign Ministry organizes extradition proceedings.
The alleged hit man was arrested in April 1998 and is awaiting trial in Atlanta.
