GAINESVILLE - From the "Liberty Bell March" to "The Stars & Stripes Forever," the Gainesville Symphony Orchestra presented its annual Patriotic Pops Concert Wednesday night, kicking off July 4th festivities in Gainesville and Hall County. <br>

The concert, at the Brenau University Amphitheater included an encore for the first time - a "God Bless America" sing-along.<br>

After opening with "The Liberty Bell March," the GSO played Copeland's "Fanfare for a Common Man," Herold's "Overture to Zampa," Sousa's "Washington Post March," and Rossini's "Overture to Barber of Seville," before taking an intermission.<br>

The GSO then played Gould's "American Salute," the "Armed Forces Salute," and Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture," before finishing with Sousa's "The Stars and Stripes Forever."
