Editor at The News Chief found dead in his apartment

WINTER HAVEN, FLORIDA - William F. ``Bill&#39;&#39; Runge, associate editor of The News Chief, has died of heart failure. He was 48. <br> <br> Runge was found dead at his apartment early Saturday by a friend who went to check on him. It was determined that he died Friday. <br> <br> Runge, who had a history of heart problems, had been recovering at home following a February car accident that required hip-replacement surgery. He had planned to return to work in a few weeks. <br> <br> ``Bill was a dedicated journalist who will be missed by his many friends and his colleagues at The News Chief,&#39;&#39; publisher Wayne Ezell said. <br> <br> Runge joined The News Chief in May 2000 when he moved from Cordele, Ga. <br> <br> He is survived by his wife, Ellene B. Runge, of Plains, Ga.; a son, Benjamin William Runge of Crawfordsville, Ind.; a daughter, Kristin Allyson Runge of Crawfordsville; three brothers, Tom Runge of Lafayette, Ind., John Runge of Crawfordsville, and Richard Runge of Miami; a sister, Fran Kreighbaum of St. Petersburg; and one grandchild. <br> <br> Funeral services were Tuesday.
