Third boy dies after North Augusta wreck

COLUMBIA, S.C. - A third boy has died as a result of an accident that killed his brother and stepbrother. <br> <br> Andrew Batchelor, 11, of North Augusta, died Monday of severe head injuries in the intensive care unit at the Medical College of Georgia Hospitals and Clinics in Augusta, Ga., Deputy Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables said. <br> <br> Andrew&#39;s death came days after the July 11 wreck in Aiken County. His stepbrother 15-year-old Raymond Ashton Grooms of North Augusta was pronounced dead at the scene. Andrew&#39;s brother Brandon Batchelor, 13, of Graniteville died the next day. <br> <br> Grooms was driving, but did not have a license. <br> <br> The boys&#39; father, Michael Batchelor, 34, of Warrenville, also was injured in the wreck. <br> <br> Lance Cpl. Kelley Hughes said the State Law Enforcement Division will investigate whether alcohol was involved in the crash. <br> <br> Beer cans, some opened, were scattered around the truck, and troopers smelled alcohol on Grooms, Hughes said. <br> <br> Three other teens were in the back of the truck with Brandon.
