MACON - Vice President Dick Cheney becomes the latest Republican heavyweight to visit Georgia to stump for Saxby Chambliss.
He will be in Macon Friday night to raise money for Chambliss, a Republican challenger to incumbent Senator Max Cleland.

President Bush and former New York Mayor Rudy Guiliani have already come to fund-raisers here, helping Chambliss roll up more than two million dollars in contributions.
The national GOP says Georgia is a major battleground for taking control of the U.S. Senate, where Democrats hold a majority by just one vote.
Cheney's speech starts at 6 p.m. at the Macon city auditorium.
