Man arrested for making niece drink urine

AUGUSTA - A man who told police he was teaching his 6-year-old niece a lesson when he forced her to drink her own urine has been charged with cruelty to children. <br> <br> Jack Walden III, 29, discovered that his niece had urinated into a cup and was trying to make her 3-year-old sister drink it, sheriff&#39;s investigator Jo Ann Nutter said. To punish the older child, Walden told her to drink it. <br> <br> ``That&#39;s just deplorable,&#39;&#39; Nutter said. ``There&#39;s punishment, and there&#39;s punishment. But that&#39;s criminal.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> Walden was arrested Monday on a felony charge that could lead to five to 20 years in prison. He told police he works as a youth counselor at a private alcohol and drug treatment center for youth. <br> <br> The nieces were visiting Walden&#39;s home from Miami July 8. Police said Walden whipped the girl when she refused to drink the urine. She eventually drank about a half-ounce, Nutter said. <br> <br> The girl told her grandmother on the telephone that her uncle had ``made her drink pee-pee,&#39;&#39; Nutter said. The girl&#39;s mother notified the sheriff&#39;s office. When he was questioned, Walden told police that he was ``teaching her a lesson.&#39;&#39;
