Authorities have arrested Alejandro Avila, the accused murderer of Samantha Runnion. What is happening in our country? We have become a sick nation. Our moral and spiritual fiber is being eroded and we are falling into a state of decadence and moral depravity.
It's all about leadership. Our churches, corporate America, our government, from the local government to the state and of course our federal government. None of these institutions are taking the leadership that we need in today's corrupt environment to stand up for what should be done to preserve this great nation, its biblical values and its sacred institutions as they were in the past.
I, for one, am fed up! America's citizens have got to do something. Let's look at Alejandro Avila, a pedophile and a terrorist. Why do we let these evil, sick people continue to do heinous acts? This guy had been accused of similar acts of child molestation previously but "the evidence was not as clear." He was, in all likelihood, guilty as charged, but the young people who had accused him were "not credible enough" as star witnesses.
Why do we put up with and continue to be complacent about white collar fraud, corruption and other criminal acts in the Worldcom, Enron and who knows what other major public corporations will surface before all this is "flushed" out? These so-called leaders are just lying, cheating and stealing from the stockholders and should be in jail. I say we should re-institute a debtors' prison and make them "pay" in that way.
Why do we allow our chidren to watch violent T. V. programs, movies, sex laden programs and movies, and shop at stores like Abercrombie and Fitch, a contributor to the porn industry-just view their catalog and the type of clothing they push for our young people. Our children are the future of America. They are being told that sex before marriage is okay and that anything goes as far as family values are concerned. Whatever happened to having a biblical worldview? It sure would help with the protection of our families.
Why have we not elected conservative people who will provide the policies, practices, role models and yes, judges who will keep this country from becoming a Sodom and Gammorrah? XXXX Why do we continue to accept liberal views, policies and practices who accept and embrace organizations like the ACLU, NOW, Planned Parenthood and even the NEA (National Education Association)? These organiztion are but a few that continue to TORPEDO the very foundation of our great country!
And, why do we wonder about any of this? We caused it. We have accepted this new level of tolerance-a tolerance that "dumbs down our values, causes complacency and leads to moral and spiritual decline and decay.
Wake up folks-this is serious. Educate yourselves on the issues and stand up for the way this country was intended to be by our forefathers. It's your childrens' future that is at stake.
