Pineview chief charged with sending explicit e-mail to minor

PINEVIEW - Authorities say the police chief of the Wilcox County town of Pineview was arrested Wednesday after repeatedly sending sexually explicit e-mails to Florida law enforcement officers posing as a 13-year-old girl. <br> <br> Chief Ray Monk was charged with soliticing sexual activity from a minor and transmitting harmful material to a minor. <br> <br> The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Monk sent the e-mails between June 27 and July 27 to sheriff&#39;s officers from Columbia County, Florida, who regularly try to catch Internet pedophiles. <br> <br> Monk is also an officer at Wilcox State Prison in Abbeville. He faces extradition to Florida.
