COVINGTON - Residents in Newton County are waking up to a new water restriction Thursday morning. Outdoor watering is now banned from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. That's in addition to the odd-even address system. <br>

The new ban was implemented after week-long problems with the water supply in the county. <br>

Newton water officials say too many people were using too much water at the same time. The ban will remain in place indefinitely.
