Airport security officials work to fill passenger screener openings

The Transportation Security Agency is taking applications this weekend for passenger screeners in Boston, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Newark, Hartford and Orlando. <br> <br> The T-S-A must hire 30-thousand passenger screeners nationwide by November 19th -- the deadline set by Congress for the transfer of the airport security, which was previously privatize, into U-S- jurisdiction. <br> <br> A total of 30 airports, including Logan International Airport, are starting to hire federal security screeners. Logan was the origin of the two hijacked planes that flew into the World Trade Center on September eleventh. <br> <br> More than 550 people arrived at the Burlington Marriott in Massachusetts this morning to apply for the federal jobs. <br> <br> Between 12-hundred and 15-hundred screeners are needed for Logan, Manchester Airport in New Hampshire, and Hanscom Field in Bedford. <br> <br> In Massachusetts, Westover in Chicopee and Worcester Regional Airports will also need federal passenger screeners. <br> <br> (
