Rome News-Tribune editor Lucas moving to Panama City, Fla.

ROME - Phil Lucas, editor of the Rome News-Tribune, has resigned to become editor of The News Herald in Panama City, Fla. <br>

``This has been a great job in a really fine place to live,'' said Lucas, who came to Rome from the Opelika-Auburn (Ala.) News and had been editor in Rome since 1999. <br>
<br>
Lucas will begin his new duties in July. <br>
<br>
Burgett H. Mooney III, publisher of the Rome News-Tribune, said the search for a new editor will begin immediately. <br>
