McKettrick used a cup of gasoline to set fire to Robert Jackson the third's home on October 21, 2001. Police said he also had spray-painted ``KKK,'' a racial epithet and the phrase ``get out or be burned out'' on the house. <br>

Testimony revealed McKettrick has a 20-year history of suicide attempts and self-mutilation by cutting. He has previously served a prison term for robbing a building and setting it on fire.
