Savannah two-year-old killed in pedestrian accident

SAVANNAH - A two-year-old boy who ran into the street and into the path of a pickup truck was struck and killed Saturday afternoon, police said. <br> <br> Elijah Waters was transported to Memorial Health University, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, Savannah police spokesman Bucky Burnsed said. <br> <br> An investigation into the accident is still underway, but police say preliminary results show the toddler ran out into the street as William James Tonkin, 62, was driving across an intersection in west Savannah. <br> <br> No charges have been filed.
