Most apartment dwellers in the U.S. have not received any direct notification of a recent FBI advisory about terror threats to apartments.

The warning was issued in April and relayed by the FBI to some state and local law enforcement agencies.

The advisory noted that the threat was unconfirmed and non-specific.
A government official who wanted to remain anonymous said the information came from interviews with prisoners being held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Some agencies - such as the Florida Department of Law Enforcement - were never notified.

And a Chicago firm that manages about one-thousand high-rise apartments says it received no advisories.
But residents of an upscale apartment building in Maitland, Florida, found a terrorism warning fastened to their doors, while tenants in Renton, Washington, received a similar warning in a letter from their landlord.
