LAWRENCEVILLE - If you travel in Gwinnett County on I-85, I-985 or on Georgia 20 near the Mall of Georgia, this warning: Gwinnett Police are planning to crack down on aggressive motorists.

"We're going after those people that drive aggressively and pose a threat to others on the road," Corporal Ray Dunlap said.

Dunlap said there have been 10 more traffic fatalities so far this year than for the same period a year ago.

"It's being done in hopes of getting these fatalities slowed down a little, if not eliminated," Dunlap said.

If you encounter an aggressive driver, Corporal Dunlap has this advice.

"Just try to avoid any contact with them, if at all possible," Dunlap said. "Don't gesture back at them if they gesture to you. Just let them go."
