DeKalb officials arrest third anthrax hoax suspect

DECATUR - A third Oglethorpe University student has been charged with conspiracy involving an anthrax hoax. <br> <br> Steven Jeffrey Morgan was arrested Wednesday and charged with helping his classmates Joel Garrison, of Pelham, Ala., and Jessica Saulson, of Lilburn with a scheme involving an envelope containing baby powder that set off an anthrax scare. <br> <br> Early April 28, a dormitory was evacuated after 19-year-old Melissa Shipman of Columbus found the envelope, which had been slipped under her door. She called campus police, who called 911, and a hazardous materials team was dispatched. <br> <br> Garrison and Saulson were arrested Tuesday. All three suspects are being held at the DeKalb County jail on $25,000 cash bond apiece. If convicted, they face a maximum of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine. <br> <br> DeKalb County Police Chief Eddie Moody said the charges represent the first official arrest by the county&#39;s Office of Homeland Security, a division of the police department created after Sept. 11. <br> <br> ``This issue of homeland security is not a game, not to be taken lightly,&#39;&#39; Moody said.
