Mother found dead in her home, 7-week-old son unharmed

HINESVILLE - A 26-year-old cook at Hunter Army Airfield was found dead in her nearby mobile home, but her 7-week-old son was unharmed. <br>

The body of Latasha Jones was found by two co-workers Thursday in her trailer after she failed to show up for work, authorities said. <br>
<br>
No arrests have been made. <br>
<br>
Police did not release the cause of death, but the co-workers said her throat was cut. <br>
<br>
The infant was placed temporarily in state custody.
