SNELLVILLE - Marc Rowell was being a good husband and father -- driving his pregnant wife Stephanie 23 miles from their home in Good Hope to a Snellville hospital for her 37-week check-up.
Little did they know he would end up delivering tiny Brooke -- not due for another three weeks -- in the car on the side of the highway.
At 8:30 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 78, the 24-year-old second-time mom felt the undeniable pains of labor.

She said, ``I just yelled, 'Pull over, pull over! She's coming!'''

Pulling quickly to the side of the road, 26-year-old Marc raced around the car and opened the passenger side door. Then he called 911.

Mrs. Rowell said, ``We tried to get in the back (seat), but there was no time.''
Five minutes later, rescue personnel arrived to find seven-pound, one-ounce baby Brooke in the arms of her grinning father. After cutting the cord and checking the vitals of mother and baby, emergency workers took them to the hospital.
