As expected, the Memorial Day Holiday weekend brought thousands of people to Lake Lanier.
According to one estimate, 300,000 boaters, fishers, and swimmers showed up to use the lake.
According to one boater, the crowded conditions made for some rough water.
"The water was real choppy because of the boats creating wakes. But you learn to deal with it," one boater said.
The Army Corps of Engineers had volunteers on hand to patrol the lake and remind people to be careful.
Overall, it was an incident free weekend. The Department of Natural Resources worked just a few accidents, most resulting from speed boats.
