Fight over NASCAR driver ends in death

VALDOSTA - Authorities in south Georgia say one man is dead after an argument ended in gunfire. <br> <br> Thirty-six-year-old Johnny Ernest Rodgers is in custody with an arraignment hearing on murder charges expected later in Valdosta. <br> <br> The Lowndes County Sheriff&#39;s Office says 41-year-old James Gregory Fitchjarrel was pronounced dead about 11:20 p.m. Sunday. He died from a gunshot wound to the head. <br> <br> Authorities say deputies received a call about 10 p.m. Sunday about a possible shooting at a trailer park. They found the body of Fitchjarrel, who was renting a room with his wife at the trailer. <br> <br> Witnesses said the men had been drinking all day and arguing as they watched NASCAR driver Mark Martin&#39;s winning performance in the Coca-Cola 600 race. Authorities say they are not certain what prompted the shooting. <br> <br> Fitchjarrel&#39;s wife told authorities that Rodgers left the trailer porch, returned with a handgun and shot her husband before fleeing. <br> <br> Authorities in Clay County, Florida, caught Rodgers late Monday afternoon.
