Alabama community college head named president of Middle Georgia College

COCHRAN - Richard Federinko, president of Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Phenix City, Alabama, since 1993, has been named president of Middle Georgia College. <br>

Federinko replaces Steve Maradian, who resigned in April 2001 to accept a job in Washington, D.C. with the University System of Georgia's External Activities and Facilities office. <br>
<br>
Federinko, named Tuesday by the Board of Regents and University System of Georgia Chancellor Thomas Meredith, will assume his new duties on July 1. <br>
<br>
For 28 years, Federinko has served as a professor and administrator for a variety of post-secondary institutions. <br>
<br>
Federinko previously was president of Southern Union Junior College in Wadley, Alabama, from 1986 to 1993.
