James Nicholas Joiner, 21, was ordered Thursday to spend two years and three months in a federal prison. Prosecutors said Joiner obtained the e-mail address of a 12-year-old girl while working at the Toys R Us store in Douglasville.
The girl's mother intercepted the e-mails and notified the Douglas County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff's investigators intercepted an e-mail they said Joiner sent asking the girl to meet him at a Douglasville park. Deputies arrested him when he arrived at Deerlick Park on May 16.
