DECATUR - A Superior Court judge sentenced a preacher convicted of molesting a 15-year-old boy to 70 years in prison - 30 years more than prosecutors requested.
The Rev. Troy Brown, 30, who was found guilty last week, continued to maintain his innocence Thursday.
``I did not touch (the victim) in any form or fashion,'' Brown, pastor of Greater Anointing Tabernacle in Lithonia, told Judge Cynthia Becker. ``There was not one strand of evidence, not one that corroborated what was said against me.''
Brown attempted to introduce new testimony to bolster his claim of a conspiracy. He told Becker that a juror had offered to discuss the panel's deliberations in exchange for money.
Brown's lawyer, Keith Adams, said the complaint about the juror would be introduced in a motion for a new trial.
``I've never seen anything like this,'' Adams said of the sentence.
