Woman accused of false kidnapping report

AUGUSTA - Police have arrested a woman who said she was kidnapped and taken to Jacksonville, Fla., with her 1-year-old stepgrandson. <br> <br> Richmond County Sheriff&#39;s Office Investigator Scott Peebles said Alice Pacquette, 58, was driving around Augusta buying crack cocaine and using it while baby-sitting Tekel Dunn, who was in her car. <br> <br> Pacquette and the child were reported missing Monday night by Tekel&#39;s mom, Natasha Brown, after the two didn&#39;t show up for several hours. <br> <br> Tuesday morning, more than 24 hours after Pacquette took the boy in her car to baby-sit, a deputy spotted the two near Brown&#39;s house. <br> <br> ``Initially, she told us a story that she was kidnapped,&#39;&#39; sheriff&#39;s Maj. Ken Autry said. ``But we had some information that conflicted with that.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> Pacquette was charged with contributing to the deprivation of a minor, Autry said. She was taken to the Richmond County Detention Center with bond set at $5,050, according to jail records. <br> <br> Autry said Pacquette also reported being kidnapped in 1997.
