OMAHA, NEBRASKA - The man who has been second-in-charge of the Nebraska-Iowa Immigration and Naturalization Service office is transferring to Georgia.
Tom DeRouchey's last day in the Omaha office is Friday. He will become assistant district director of investigations for a four-state area office in Atlanta.
DeRouchey has worked in the Omaha-based district for two-and-one-half years. He says the career move was in anticipation of INS restructuring that may eliminate his Omaha management job.
DeRouchey came to Nebraska in October 1999 as supervisory special agent in Grand Island. Last April, he was promoted to deputy director of the two-state region.
