Police said Stephanie Nicole Burnett was killed Sunday night by her ex-boyfriend because he believed she was pregnant and didn't want her to have the baby. An autopsy at the Georgia Crime lab on Tuesday revealed that Burnett was not pregnant.
District Attorney Danny Craig said he plans to try 16-year-old Matthew John Wiedeman as an adult. Wiedeman and 17-year-old Raymond Anthony Soto are charged with murder in Burnett's death.
Police said Wiedeman thought Burnett was pregnant by him and decided to kill her because she refused to have an abortion.
