State School Superintendent says husband's health won't take her out of governor's race

ATLANTA - State School Superintendent Linda Schrenko says her husband&#39;s health will not take her out of the governor&#39;s race in the fall. <br> <br> Rumors that Schrenko would leave the race began about a month ago when her husband of more than 30 years became sick. <br> <br> Doctors had found a tumor near Frank Schrenko&#39;s adrenal gland. Part of the tumor has been removed, Schrenko said in an interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. <br> <br> ``Frank said to me, &#39;You do not drop out,&#39;&#39;&#39; Schrenko said. ``He is comfortable with me staying in the race.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> Schrenko, is running against former state Sen. Sonny Perdue of Bonaire and Cobb County Commission Chairman Bill Byrne in the upcoming Aug. 20 Republican primary. <br> <br> The winner will face Gov. Roy Barnes, a Democrat.
