Pregnant woman, man shot in robbery of Atlanta sports bar

ATLANTA - Fulton County police are searching for a suspect in an early morning robbery at a sports bar in northwest Atlanta that left a pregnant woman dead and an employee wounded. <br>

Police Major Wenda Phifer identifies the woman killed as 34-year-old Barbara Kriewald of Marietta. She was the co-owner of the Sidelines Sports Grille and was seven months pregnant. <br>
<br>
Police say she was training 27-year-old Michael Terry Kirby of Lithia Springs to be a manager. He was wounded and was taken to an area hospital to undergo surgery. <br>
<br>
Police answered the call to the grill about 3:55 a.m. Thursday. <br>

They say a man apparently made his way through a door at the front of the store and demanded money from the two inside. <br>
<br>
Investigators say the two gave the man money. The robber than bound the two and shot them. The manager was shot in the chest; the woman was shot in the arm but the bullet traveled through her abdomen. She later died. <br>
