Pub owner held after shooting suspect in burglary

ATLANTA - The owner of a pub in Atlanta has been arrested after shooting a suspected robber at his business. <br> <br> The owner of the Treehouse Restaurant and Pub - Jim Kourkoulis - is charged with aggravated assault in the shooting outside his business early Tuesday. <br> <br> The suspect - 35-year-old Fred Bryant of Forest Park - remains hospitalized at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. <br> <br> Police say he was arrested in January for burglarizing the same place. Police Sergeant John Quigley says Bryant was charged with burglarizing the Treehouse on January fifth and ninth. <br> <br> Kourkoulis called police at 6:37 a.m. Tuesday to report a prowler. Six minutes later, Kourkoulis called back to say he had shot someone. <br> <br> Friends and employees of Kourkoulis say they believe he acted in self defense.
