OXFORD, MISSISSIPPI - Mississippi coach David Cutcliffe was admitted to a local hospital Thursday with viral gastroenteritis. <br>

``Coach Cutcliffe has a stomach virus and had to be admitted to the hospital to receive intravenous fluids,'' said Ole Miss head trainer Tim Mullins. ``He will spend Thursday night in the hospital and his condition will be reevaluated Friday. We hope he will be able to return to practice Friday or Saturday.'' <br>

Cutcliffe missed Thursday afternoon's spring football drills. <br>

He was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi earlier in the day.
