Two men now charged in professor's death

VALDOSTA - Authorities say two men have been charged in the slaying of a Valdosta State University professor whose body was found in the trunk of his car, killed by multiple gunshot wounds. <br> <br> Police say the body of 44-year-old Bobby Blake - assistant dean in the College of the Arts - was found by police around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. <br> <br> Eighteen-year-old Charles Anthony Paschal of Valdosta has been charged with murder and obstruction of an officer. <br> <br> Twenty-three-year-old Shimon Sanders of nearby Lake Park also was charged with murder. Police Sargeant Steve Owens said he may face other charges. He said there are no other suspects. <br> <br> Police declined to identify a motive, but said it did not appear to be robbery. <br> <br> Blake&#39;s body was discovered by a patrol officer who saw two men standing next to a car on a dirt road. As the officer approached, the men jumped in the car and tried to flee, but the vehicle became stuck. Police said the men abandoned the car and ran. <br> <br> Paschal was arrested Wednesday night. Shimon Sanders was arrested yesterday. <br> <br> Police also received information from a witness who told officers he was in Blake&#39;s car with two other men, but did not know a crime had been committed. The witness gave police the names of two people in the car.
