SMYRNA - Smyrna police are looking for a man who attacked a 7-year-old girl on a playground at an apartment complex Thursday. <br>

The child was attacked about 7:30 p.m. at the Madison Station apartments. Police said the man grabbed the child, beat her and tried to sexually assault her but she fought him off. <br>

The girl was treated for bumps and bruises. <br>
<br>
Apartment manager Kathy Najdi said the same man approached a woman on the playground before the attack. She said the woman took her child and left the playground. <br>
<br>
Police questioned two men later Thursday about the attack but released them.
