Georgia couple enter innocent pleas in son's death

RINGGOLD - A Catoosa County couple have pleaded innocent to murder charges in the death of their infant son, who died from injuries caused by an explosion in a methamphetamine lab they operated. <br> <br> Suzette Callaway, 27, and Christopher Hicks, 28, entered their pleas Friday in Catoosa County court. They were arrested in Kentucky in July, a month after 19-month-old Shelton Hicks died from injuries he suffered in the Feb. 7, 2001 explosion. <br> <br> Callaway and Hicks originally were arrested on charges of operating a methamphetamine lab and released on bond. When the child died, authorities filed murder charges. <br> <br> They also face federal drug charges related to the meth production. <br> <br> They remain in the Catoosa County Jail.
