Go Ahead-Cut My Taxes

I don't know about you, but I am ready for our Washington bureaucrats to get off their proverbial donkeys and elephants and give us our money back! The House of Representatives reached an agreement before Christmas but the Senate, under the "guidance" of Tom Daschle, have deliberately stalled any stimulus package that would return our tax overpayments to us.

The President is doing all he can to give us some spending money. I support that since it will enable the economy to move on down the track at a little faster pace or at least ensure that it stays on the track. But, because the Democrats are trying every way possible to discredit the President, who they know has become a formidable force in the political arena, the economy will recover at a much slower pace.

It is very discouraging to see how the liberals want to control you and your money and will fight to the death to do it while at the same time those same liberals will spend record billions of dollars to get re-elected. It's simply unbelievable.

Each of us needs to contact our Congressmen.

The only real way to stimulate our economy is to reduce the amount of money the government is taking out of your pocket and mine. How--By reducing taxes on the American taxpayer.

And, guess what that does for us. It allows us to invest the money, save it, or spend it. If tax cuts are given to small businesses, they can hire more employees, invest in new equipment, pay more to their employees, or pay dividends to investors. The government must leave as much money in the system as possible and let the market dictate how the investors will use it.

Our Washington bureaucrats just don't get it. They simply do not understand basic economics or choose to ignore the problems they are causing for us and the economy. Billions have been added to the spending bill, formerly known as the stimulus bill in my way of thinking. So, instead of a 4-5% increase in spending this year, we are faced with a $14% increase. All of this is in the name of spending our money that the government could do without and that is legitimately ours.

Spending only stimulates certain groups. All of us Americans that pay taxes can spend all that money that we should have if Congress would just let us have it back. Spending us into oblivion is not going to turn this economic ship around. There is no way to spend us into prosperity. It simply won't happen.

Folks, we have got to continue our efforts to change how Washington thinks. While I continue to believe that we are out of this recession, we have to help ourselves stay out. And, that is exactly what the liberals do not want us to do. They think we are ignorant and unable to think for ourselves.

I have news for them. The resolve of the American citizens will carry us for many years to come and we will rise t the occasion in this case. We each inherently know that the more business pays in taxes the higher our consumer good's prices will go! If that happens, inflationary pressures begin to take place. So, by yearend we could see 4-5% inflation (annualized) if Daschle is allowed to have his way.

We cannot wait for a severe economic crisis to take place before we achieve a fair tax and our money is returned to us. Let your elected officials know how you feel.

Just remember, it's your money they are spending. You deserve to have a strong voice in how it's spent.
