Carter pleased with Bush administration's reversal on Iraq

STOCKHOLM - Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former U.S. President Jimmy Carter says he&#39;s pleased the Bush administration has softened its stance on unilateral action against Iraq. <br> <br> Carter says the White House has reversed its previous stated policy on removing Saddam Hussein with or without consent from the United Nations and its belief that weapons inspectors would have no use. <br> <br> The former Democratic president received the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, Norway, on Tuesday. Carter traveled to Stockholm Thursday to address the Swedish parliament. <br> <br> Carter also says he hopes events in North Korea, which recently announced it was developing a nuclear weapons program, can be resolved through diplomacy.
