Norcross girl killed while riding horse in Florida

NORCROSS - Authorities say a 12-year-old Norcross girl is dead after she fell from her saddle while horseback riding on the beach in Florida. <br>

Police say Monica Averhoff was dragged about a half mile along the beach by a running horse. <br>
<br>
Captain Joe Nugent of the Gulf County Sheriff's Department says the girl was on a guided ride around Cape San Blas on Friday when some of the horses started running.
