SAVANNAH - A Fleming man has been arrested in the slaying of postal worker stabbed last week in the one-room post office of the small southeast Georgia town. <br>

Meier Jason Brown, 32, appeared before U.S. Magistrate G.R. Smith in Savannah on Friday to answer federal charges in the death of Sallie Gaglia, 48. <br>

Gaglia's bloodied body was discovered in the Fleming post office in Liberty County the morning of Nov. 30 at the service window, where she was working alone. She was stabbed multiple times. <br>

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the post office. The mother of two had been a part-time employee for the past eight years. <br>
<br>
Brown was arrested Thursday night by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and charged with felony murder of a government employee, murder on government property and robbery of government property with a deadly weapon.
