ATLANTA - Gov. Roy Barnes' school accountability agency is scheduled to release its most extensive education report cards Monday.
The K-12 report breaks down test scores demographically, for instance, by race, English proficiency, or whether students are disabled.
Data on pre-kindergarten, technical school, university and teacher-certification programs were posted on the Web site of the Office of Education Accountability last week.
The online report cards, which came out of Barnes' 2000 education reform law, details how schools performed on tests but if continued will be expanded to include other data. However, this may be the state's last report card because the agency may be out of business.
Gov.-elect Sonny Perdue has said he wants to reduce bureaucracy in the state education system if elected. Perdue beat Barnes in the November 5th elections.
``I've gotten no indication (Perdue) wants to move away from accountability reporting,'' said Davis Nelson, director of the Office of Education Accountability.
