ATLANTA - Atlanta's High Museum of Art will display Santa Claus paintings by the late illustrator Haddon Sundblom, beginning December 3rd.

The paintings are among 35 done for Coca-Cola between 1931 and 1964. They were used in Coke ads for Christmastime and have not been shown together in Atlanta.

Sundblom's Santa helped shape the modern image of Santa Claus. They show a jovial fellow, rotund and dressed in red and white.

The Sundblom Santa paintings are stored in Coke's archives, with the exception of seven that typically remain on permanent display at Atlanta's World of Coca-Cola.
The paintings are brought out during the holidays.
The exhibit runs through January 5th.
