ATHENS - More than 4,200 students have decided to apply for the University of Georgia's first-ever early admissions process.
The university decided to offer a non-binding early admissions process this year, hoping to allow students more lead time in deciding their futures.
It also will help spread out school officials' admissions workload over a longer period of time. The school's new admissions policy requires a more detailed review of borderline applicants.
The university's vice-president for instruction -- Del Dunn -- said those who applied by November First will be notified of acceptance by December 15.
