PEACHTREE CITY - The Great Georgia Airshow broke even this year despite stormy weather that cut attendance in half.
Greg Hall is airshow board chairman for the event in Peachtree City. He says the bills have been paid.
Organizers also repaid seed money that the Peachtree City Kiwanis and the Dixie Wing of the Commemorative Air Force put up. But he says the airshow could not pay anything extra to the two groups as it has in past years.
About 20,000 people were expected at the fifth annual airshow at Falcon Field. But a spokeswoman says paid attendance totaled only ten-thousand.

Skies were cloudy both Saturday and Sunday. A storm in the middle of the Saturday show destroyed the tents of about 15 vendors and damaged two planes, which were able to fly out.
No one was injured and the crowd was quickly evacuated. The next day's airshow went on as scheduled with a few acts not appearing.
The next show will be September sixth and seventh with future airshows to be held the first weekend after Labor Day.
