Pittsburgh madam Paula Cherish -- also known as ``Tiffany'' -- pleaded guilty Wednesday in U.S. District Court in New Orleans. She pleaded guilty to conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of a prostitution enterprise.
Cherish was one of 15 people, including six reputed madams and five alleged prostitutes, a federal grand jury indicted in March in New Orleans.
New Orleans madam Jeannette Maier and her mother, Tommie Taylor, pleaded guilty in May to the same conspiracy charge.
Maier's one-time boyfriend, Charles Lee of New Orleans, pleaded guilty to the conspiracy charge in July.
Prosecutors say the 37-year-old Cherish operated a prostitution enterprise in Pittsburgh from April 2001 to October 2001, and prostitutes traveled from out of state to work for her.
Prosecutors says prostitutes working for Cherish were part of a nationwide ``circuit'' that included New Orleans, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, New York and Pittsburgh.
