National prostitution ring includes Atlanta

NEW ORLEANS - The operator of a Pennsylvania brothel has admitted her role in a national prostitution network that includes hubs in Atlanta, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, New York, Boston and Chicago. <br> <br> Pittsburgh madam Paula Cherish -- also known as ``Tiffany&#39;&#39; -- pleaded guilty Wednesday in U.S. District Court in New Orleans. She pleaded guilty to conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of a prostitution enterprise. <br> <br> Cherish was one of 15 people, including six reputed madams and five alleged prostitutes, a federal grand jury indicted in March in New Orleans. <br> <br> New Orleans madam Jeannette Maier and her mother, Tommie Taylor, pleaded guilty in May to the same conspiracy charge. <br> <br> Maier&#39;s one-time boyfriend, Charles Lee of New Orleans, pleaded guilty to the conspiracy charge in July. <br> <br> Prosecutors say the 37-year-old Cherish operated a prostitution enterprise in Pittsburgh from April 2001 to October 2001, and prostitutes traveled from out of state to work for her. <br> <br> Prosecutors says prostitutes working for Cherish were part of a nationwide ``circuit&#39;&#39; that included New Orleans, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, New York and Pittsburgh.
